Next Stop...Kuranda Rainforest

The next day we headed up the mountain to Kuranda. We rode a train up and enjoyed some spectacular scenery along the slow-moving railway. We at lunch, visited a butterfly museum, shopped at the markets, and stopped in at the Venom museum, because we can't get enough of Australia's deadliest snakes and creatures! After some ice cream, we boarded a sky rail and headed back down the mountain while enjoying some more spectacular views!

The Kuranda Scenic Railway
Grandma and Grandpa enjoying the views...
Kids loved looking at the window, but thought the train moved way too slow!
We were all tired from the previous days snorkeling adventure...but these 2 were especially tired and hot! There was no AC on the train, of course!
Braden looking out the window at the falls below!
These were the Barron Falls...beautiful!
Of course, we had to visit the Venom museum and hold some snakes!
Avery wasn't too sure about this, but she did it!
Davis was fine until the snake started heading behind him and he was not ok with that! He sort of did a little freak out and the caretaker had to come to the rescue!
Stopping for another picture after grabbing some ice cream...
On the way down the mountain, stopping for ANOTHER picture!
This was a view of the falls from the other side.
Gorgeous!
The boys walking back from the falls...
On the skyrail down the mountain...
Davis felt like he was flying!
Carson and Grandma...
2 brothers overlooking the ocean!
